Hydracarbon was founded by singer/songwriter Tim Growley who writes, performs, and produces all the material. Disillusioned by the current direction of mainstream rock music, Growley set out to make music free from creative sacrifices. To reinforce his minimalistic approach, the name Hydracarbon came about to represent the elemental building blocks of life. Growley grew up in Mina outside of Sherman, NY. He now resides in Jamestown, NY. Hydracarbon appears courtesy of Photographer Records, an independent artist owned music label dedicated to providing authentic alternatives to mainstream pop music.
